MT Jones

New Liverpudlian maestro on the block MT JONES, gathers inspiration from 60s and 70s soul greats to modern R&B and jazz, evoking a sound that is both contemporary and timeless. His deeply soulful and distinctive vocals transport you straight back to a smoke-filled speak easy whilst bringing a sound that feels fresh and innovative.

Between stints working on music regularly in Liverpool and London, Jones has travelled the world as a musician and penned songs for other artists, making a name for himself as a gifted and prolific songwriter. His debut releases (‘I Won't Ever Say Goodbye’ and ‘Feeling Lonely’) marked his place as a new UK artist, firmly heading places. Receiving immediate and strong support from BBC Introducing with multiple spins across the network and a featured as a ‘Step up’ artist on 1Xtra, he later released a limited edition 7 inch vinyl; this first physical offering sold out within weeks.

With further support from the BBC selecting MT Jones to perform as a guest on the well known BBC Radio 4 program Loose Ends and regular plays from the likes of Theo Johnson (BBC 1) Craig Charles (BBC 6) and Trevor Nelson (BBC 2), support for him grew.
